It was a great experience and well worth the day trip from Sendai.
At the start of the tour we were given headset devices to activate at each major stop for a translated narration.
The distillery is not in a city center.
This is a free shuttle that is offered by the distillery so you don't have to walk 30 minutes.

The museum had lots of history and cool exhibits about their whisky.
This is one of 2 nikka distillery, the other one is in Yoichi, close to sapporo Hokkaido.
At the end of the tour, we were given whisky tasting samples and had the opportunity to buy souvenirs.
